Performance vs. Fame

In a perfect world, there would be a direct correlation between great art and commercial success. Creating great art leads to recognition, which leads to sales and commercial success.

In practice, a lot of other variables come into play, some of which we have more control over than others.

With practice and repetition, we can increase the odds of creating great art.

Recognition, on the other hand, requires communication. Enough people must become aware of your great art to make it into the collective consciousness. You can write a great song, but if no one hears it, it won’t become a hit.

Done well, communication is an art form in itself. Let’s use it to your advantage and get the word out about your work. Let me know how I can help.
